It's likely to be a 70mm ball although there were a variety of old imperial specification balls no longer in regular use.
See: Tow Balls - Trojan Trailer Parts & Components available at auto parts stores like Repco.
I pinched my old mans ex trailer and it has a larger ball than the usual 50mm. I think it might be 2 5/16" US size. I would like to get a spare but can't find one.
Does anyone know where the larger one can be procured?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
I vaguely remember an issue with different sized balls, I think it was on my old mans Rambler which were American.
...But if you're talking about something else it's quite normal!![]()
Thanks Diana, I think it would be 70mm now that you mention it. 2 5/16 is only 59mm or so, doesn't really transpire.
