Cheers,
Will try to make it - are you meeting at the Gap Ck Road carpark? I am still rewiring part of my County so it will depend on getting it finished. Or I might be able to talk another Land Rover owning/mountain biking mate into coming. I just hope you guys can stand the sight of a grown man hurling his guts up at the top of each hill.
By the way Guy, you own one of my all time dream cars. I always wanted an early GT.
Good onya col. harder work than you first thought?![]()
Meeting at the Gap Creek Rd Carpark - sounds like you'll fit in just fine, our rides a fairly laid back - well they have to wait for me to catch up, which gives the faster ones a chance to catch their breath while wondering when I'm going to appear
Just a nice cruisy afternoon rideunlike clear mountain last weekend

It was always going to be silly. Lets see. Prizes for longest wheelie, best stack, biggest stoppie, most retarted stunt
From a kid, riding was my thing, but we were so poor we had to get Mcdonalds on Lay-buy, so a proper bmx and bikes had to wait until I was old enough to buy them. Buy then I had moved on to motorbikes. After losing my licence for 12 months doing something similar to another recently posted thread, I rediscovered riding at 23.
Got mega fit again, and started learning to get air and the like. My BIL and his wife a into MTB and Road big time so we all went together. I have been slack lately, and the last time I bought stuff was 5 years ago, and the last time I rode was about 3 years ago.
Apart from fitness, it all comes back pretty quickly. The hardest part I find is getting past your head, to do that first drop in or box jump and staying relaxed so you don't freeze up and bin it. Even worse with all the teenage heroes hanging around, don't want to look stupid. From then it is all practice.
Aren't you coming up this way to Dave's soon?
Jury still out on this one, but I'm trying. If my new cc lid turns up in time, and some other bits, I'll be there.

Ouch, that sounds painful, we ride regularly so let us know when you're riding again

Didn't make it to the training ride at Gap creek, instead spent the afternoon riding with my son. There is something about doing that first bush ride together
We hit the BMX track, then went off to the quarry, and finally the wetlands near our house.
I bought a new camera recently, so am playing with the functions, the other main reason for this thread
Can't wait till he can mountainbike. I'll be in Dad heaven
