Hi Caine,
I'm not sure where the cheapest for OEM will be, maybe Karcraft in Silverwater??? Probably not Alto's.
It may be worth considering if you want to go back to OEM as they seem to have a fairly short life. You can get aftermarket plain rotors.
Crap!! have to replace all 4. Pads are OK and will go back in with a bit of a scratch up.
So where is the cheapest place to buy OEM? it is an '03 model Td5.
Cheers

Hi Simon,
yeah good point. I am going to price up some EBC and DBA, however, I think I might have mentioned my experience with the EBC's on my track car...but they are extreme conditions..
My LR has done 135,000 k's......not sure if this is good for a set of rotors as I never tend to own them long enough..
Cheers

Thats right I recall you saying about the EBC's. There are quite a few people that really like the Dba also, especially with Bendix pads.
135,000 is pretty good if they're the original set. I'm pretty sure that they've been a lot that have replaced OE with 40,000 or less in urban areas.

Genuine rotors from LR to suit D2 are only about $90 each anyway, just how 'cheap' do you want?
Dba ones were more expensive last time I looked, and aren't as good as the genuine article IMHO.
Of course, slotted and dimpled etc are going to be more $$, but are worthwhile in arduous going, like dust&water etc.
With my RRC, it was worth fitting aftermarket rotors versus the genuine price, but with D2's they are very cheap OE.

I know rotors are the topic, but just wondering, mine has original rotors, pads also original, need doing soon. What pads does anyone suggest.Rotors should be good for one more set of pads.Done 66k.
Thanks Justin. So they are....just found a site with prices.
I was not expecting them to be that cheap as I had never bought any standard rotors..
I'd put rotors on too, mostly due to the high probability that they aren't parrallel anymore, and when you fit the new pads, they'll more than likely squeal their heads off and you may also get a rubbish pedal feel.
I'd recommend Lucas pads for value for money, but others here may disagree.
