I've got a Prado as well as a Deafener and sometimes forget myself and wave to Defenders while in the Tojo.
Funny looks and no waves back and who can blame them, Tojos are everywhere and don't stand out like Defenders do.
The cooks nagging me about flogging the Defender..... "You'll miss those waves when it's gone ....nag nag nag...."
Alan.
A bloke driving around here over the the last few days in a DII Series II has been waving everytime he sees me, and a DI waved last week too.
A bloke in a nice looking RRC with decent tyres and LRA flares didn't wave till I made it obvious about a week back![]()
i thought that only kombi driver gave the wave i've been a kombiall my life (been most places in that in australia's southern half with it)until till about 2 years ago and missed the wave.
Yet when i got my disco at the end of last year i've got a few waves when i've been back home in Newcastle but none down here in sydney.
I always wave and A LOT OF people ignore me, is it the P plates?come on we are all Land Rover owners regardless of size colour sex and age.
Land Rover owners seem to be some much more patriotic to their choice of car then any other make!![]()
Perhaps we need to work out a way to distinguish people driving land rovers, from land rover drivers. I don't mean posting land rover across the windscreen in big white letters, like you see on dunnydoors and such. I mean something easily distinguishable and simple.
Just a thought
I think the wave is dying with the newer Fenders.
There are a few new Fenders in my area and none of them wave back yet older 200's and 300's nearly always wave.
I agree with NM the AULRO sticker works and all of them wave.
I have given up with Rangie Vogue and Sport drivers. They never wave
