    Series roof consoles

I have had a bloke I know ask me to make him a roof consol for his S3. Unsure as to what they are worth, so am unsure as to what to quote him.
Who out there has one and what did they pay for it?

I am going to make it out of ally with marine carpet to cover, with the usual trim around the holes.

    Cheers

Retail items are in the order of $250 - $500+ depending on size and levels of customisation (e.g. electrical additions like lights, power sockets, fuse boxes, radio mounting etc etc). Materials bought retail could cost $300 alone if he wants a lot of features...

Simple way is to barter for something he has that you want.

    G'day Folks

Whatever design you use make sure that you crashpad the front section, I lost a very good friend on Bribie a few years ago because of a rooftop console, while undertaking a 4wd rescue at night, part of a search party looking for some 14yr olds, that took mothers Sigma sedan up the FWD tracks in the centre of the Island, hit a bump on a track, knocked unconcious, and rolled into water, drowned destroyed a good S2a LWB and lost a good friend, and yes, he was wearing a seatbelt.

    cheers
