    Spot bloody on!

So, why are we pandering to the 'snipers' in the first place?

One last thing I would loved to have seen you proof read the post over and over, to prevent these mistakes
    Yeah, right.

Someone on another forum recently had an explosion because people were writing "teh" instead of "the". In the grand scheme of things in my life.... its a problem that rates quite low - if it is a big issue in anybodies life, then lifes good.
    Where is the whistling emoticon?

"Teh" is is a common typo - we all do it when our fingers are flying.

Maybe instead of people correcting poor spelling, which does often take away from the post and the thread, there could be a "spelling" button next to the "thanks" one, that way politely highlighting to people they've done bad.

Ohhhhh, no..... don't tell me.... another person that thinks that if someone goes to university that they somehow become dumber than someone who hasn't. It does admittedly impress me how universities can charge thousands of dollars, spend so much government money and spend a whole stack of years to change somebody who has completed the HSC (or equiv) to somebody that has the educational performance of a Yr7.

    Your statement is lame.

When I did my search on the word "spelling" I didn't realise that there is a limit placed on the number of responses displayed.

I just found another 200 from before the end of 2006. I'm not going to bother to adjust the dates of the search to find all the others.

I'll just estimate that there are more than 600.

I thought I had better correct my previous post in case the arithmetic nazis are as diligent as the spelling nazis.
