This would be my choice.........White roof and grill, and just the middle section of the bonnet.

Rijidij, you and Dullbird are thinking along the same lines. I hadn't thought about that type of scheme prior to this and don't mind it at all.

Here is Dullbirds to see both hers and yours together. Irrespective of the paint, I am commited to the Stage 1 grill now rather than the S3

    Cheers

Here are a couple of similar mockups - I may not be able to do split colours though.

Keeping in mind it will have a black ARB bar on it, I think the 2nd would look good also. This said, the poll is definately leaning towards solid blue!

    Another option...

Paint stripper on the roof to get a brushed aluminium finish like I did. You will never have to paint the roof again!!! You can do the same on the bonnet if you want the 2-tone scheme (would have to gal the rad support though...)

(the rear panel is beige because I haven't painted it yet. The door tops are camo because they are perentie door tops).

I agree. I tried a coloured roof on a sprung over SWB a few years ago. It looked to heavy coloured like that.

In the end I recoloured it back to white and it looks a heap better.

White roof and rear window frames and door tops, blue body and bonet and grille then go a full ally CP bonet plate and wing tops and some ally CP trims behind door and maby along the bottom of the door and back side of the front guard say 100 mm up from the bottom would look good and add good protection

A painted roof doesn't look so bad:

You just need to break it up with some black... which would mean you need to paint over the galvanized sections... which some people think is a crime.

And yes, put aluminium checker plate on the wingtops and bonnet recess.... although don't use propeller aluminium, cause you have to drive with sunglasses... ALL the time.
