    Roof spotties

Okay the legalities have been discussed to death. Now the more important stuff.

I want to put a pair on my roof rack but I'm copping a pizzelling from my mates who think it's seriously uncool. Now I can agree that it's perhaps a little rednecky, but I'm coming to the realisation that perhaps I might be a little rednecky too.

Is it worth the lights/wiring to do?

They dont need to look good but most of the time they do give your rig that purposeful look and they are great for driving muddy tracks in the dark (e.g. when the track takes 8 hours longer than you thought it would) or going through deep water crossings in the dark or seeing whats going to jump out from the side of the road in front of you as well as helping see around corners at night.

    Yes RT Lights are #1

I will rethink my idea of having my cattle brand on the spare tyre cover then.

Mine have been on for 3 years and I have used them once, but I dont care, they look cool. My non 4wd owning mates call it "the jungle truck".

    redneck

    I read somewhere once,
You may be a redneck if:
*the bonnet of your truck is as high as the roof of your house
*your car lights are brighter than most commercial jets
and so on and so on.

I'm considering mounting my spotlights on top of the wings where the bolt goes through the panel to the bracket underneath. Could be the only bug-eyed land rover in brisbane.

Anyway redneck away I say, if its cool to you thats all that matters.

Mine are back in the shed after breaking a mount on the roof bar. I plan to put them back on.
