I reckon that if the price is competitive with other vehicles in its class then they will sell .... loads of them.

I wonder where it would fit in their lineup. At the moment you have:

    FL2/Defender from ~$50K
    D3 from ~$65K
    RRS from ~$90K
    Vogue from ~$155K

Cheaper than a D3 maybe? It's hard to know as the LRX would be a car in its own class.

Looks horn, I hope the production version isnt watered down too much, especially the front.

Below FL2 in size, but perhaps not in price.

I think it is too much of a niche vehicle and will sell poorly. It will be expensive for what it is and I'd imagine the production version will be very watered down in appearance, probably similar to a 2 door RRS.

But I do think it is good that LR is embracing hybrid/green technology. At least they are continuing to innovate.

I like how it looks, but I would not buy one. It is just yet another useless, image marketed piece of consumer trash with no logical purpose for being on the road other than to pose in a shopping centre car park.

    It's not a sports car.
    It's not a cheap run-about.
    It's not an off-road vehicle.
It's not a people mover or load carrier.
It's not especially "green" (it's just an effort to improve Land Rover's credentials).
And whilst it looks OK, it's not a work of art.
WTF is it meant to be other than kerb candy???

Image marketing driven product design gives me the irrits.

Maybe.... but despite my previous tirade, there are a lot of clueless people out there who buy too many pairs of shoes...
(apologies to the people on here who have expressed interest in buying one... I will no doubt be suckered in to drooling over yours when I see one in the flesh)

    I would get one...

Only if they keep the Flux Capacitor

"This is it! This is the answer. .... a bolt of lightning is going to strike the clock tower at precisely 10:04pm, next Saturday night! If... If we could somehow... harness this lightning... channel it... into the flux capacitor... it just might work."
