Now the Prom is on fire
and it is starting to rain in Macs Cove...
Captain called this morning and got me to check over the brigade's fast fill pump (which I spent a couple of hours doing) and tasked me with picking it and its trailer up when necessary and taking to the water point, wherever that may be. Also I may be needed later on the truck.
No fires yet in this area, but he has a bad feeling (hot and dry and likely to become windy). At least there are no storms about. - but there are powerlines!

Good luck getting back in ther Gav, I have a mate working through the night for the council clearing roads and mopping up.
Glad to hear everything is Ok with you guys Stuart, it just shows you how easilly fires can start.
I will just add before everyone gets way ahead of them selves, the only ones really pushing it home that these firs may have been deliberately lit is the media.
They have got it wrong for 2 of the fires recently, Churchill park last week and Cranbourne yesterday which were both not deliberately lit but were reported as being so.
