I had the last air cooled model GPZ750 at one stage,, forever adjusting and oiling chains, (and replacing rear tyres)since then I have always bought shaft bikes so I didnt have to clean them all the time,,,

and if the problems you speak of (with shafts) happen at more than 7-8 tenths than I would never have found out

I've only had one shaft drive bike, a Suzuki GS850G, but I'm not as good enough rider to notice the handling problems associated with shaft drive.

Ladies and Gentlemen may I present Mr Jeff Doohan, or is it Gardiner ? Or perhaps Rainey ? Or Rossi ?

Anyway the guy is after a tourer not a race bike !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Yeh really after a sports tourer or the like. I would really like a VFR 800 if I can push the budget. I have heard so many good things about them & I just love that awesome sound . The other ones that are in the running (I think) are the GSXF 750 which are a great 2nd hand buy or the1200 Bandit. Thanks for all he replies, good to see lots of keen riders here.

Am I reading that right????????? 120K?
It's over 20 years old, it would have sold new for $7895K
    Worth about $2000.00
Sorry Mate but with those sort of K's it's over due for some major work.
You would be starting by rebuiding the shaft drive and suspension.'
You can pick up a good Japanese 750 with a third of those K's for the same money and under ten years old.

You can up a VFR800 for under $8K with less than 40,000 k's on the clock.
Only catch, it will be over 10 years old
There is one in Brisbane, $8300, 5000K's, 2000 Model
