    car problem non-LR

The missus has a daewoo matiz which has an odd intermittent fault.

Sometimes it will just go slower and slower until it stops. The more accelerator you use the slower it goes until it eventually stops as if it ran out of fuel then after about 10-15min it will start again.

I noticed last time if I eased right off the accelerator so its pressed only about 10ml and it will keep running, just.

Any ideas, welcome to just throw ideas in as I haven't got a clue.

Few more bits of info that might be relevant:
Only ever happens on hot days, around 35oC.
Starts first time every time when cold.
Happens with a full tank and with hardly any left.
    year of matiz 2000

Cool wet rag on the fuel line, at the closest point to the exhaust would be a good pace to start.

Another thought if fuel filters don't pan out ....

If it's fuel injection .... could be failing fuel pressure regulator .... on Rover V8 ... this is located on the RHS rear (drivers side) of the fuel rail

Wildcard is ..... water in fuel .... But lets not go there

It could be blocked breathers to the tank

One way to find out is when it stops go and open the fuel cap and see if there is a rush of air
