Lightbulb just a little understanding needed

The dreaded question was asked the other night " WHEN ARE YOU GETTING RID OF THAT TRACTOR". I remained calm at first, then after much it's rubbish, it's expensive to run, it's noisy and ugly etc. etc. I was getting annoyed so I warned swmbo that I was getting over the subject and if it continued I would resort to getting nasty. End of conversation.
Two days later, same derogatory remarks about my TRACTOR. I got nasty and used the excuse "I warned you". I still behaved like an ***hole though. The tractor is not going anywhere. Wait until I buy two more 109's to do the next project.
So maybe this should be in the soapbox, I just needed to share this with people who may understand.
Has anyone ever seen a 2a crewcab with a lwb tub, I wonder how hard that would be to build hmmmm......

Sounds like you need a new missus!

Mine wouldn't dare make remarks like that about my collection, when I am earshot .

    I get that a bit.

My usual answer is that I could be a gambler, or a womaniser, or a drunkard, but no - I have a bad Land Rover habit.

Actually, the alternatives don't sound that bad.....

    My rule of thumb

I work on the rule of its easier to get forgiveness than permission - I am currently banned from entering bike shops, harvey norman, and talking to the architect in regards to renovations on the house after this rule was applied to all 3 without consulting the minister of finance and fun. BUT I'M STILL HERE AND THE BATTLE CONTINUES
Cant complain really as my missus is very understanding I just do little things to keep her on her toes

Sounds like a bit of colusion happening here.

Jewellery has NO practical value and should be banned. The money saved can be redirected into practical, sensible boy type activities/projects

My wife doesn't like my Disco. However I don't like her Corolla so that makes us even.

Just tell her to get stuffed as it is your hobby. I'm sure she spends time/money on stuff you don't like.

Or maybe, whenever SHE buys jewellery, she has to buy YOU a Landie!

All this begs the question - am I the only bloke who just turns up at home with the latest car and then has to explain it away? methinks not,....
