What is the point of a post that only has someone elses words quoted then a x2 under it?
Surely we have not evolved to one collective mind allready have we? We get enough of that on the Sci Fi channels. The Borg, Cybermen, Daleks, The Family, Zombies, even the cast of Home and Away occasionally have individual thoughts. Surely as Land Rover owners we can too?
Fellow members, in the real world we are all individuals, some say Tom-atto others say Tom-arto, others say that red crap tastes like $***.
Instead of x2, x3 or x144, why not use words in your posts. Surely if you reading a thread and posting in a thread your not that pressed for time?
why quote it?? X3^^^^^^

Times three again (is that what you meant by in words)![]()
I'll offer an alternative view.
- There are some people on this forum who have a reputation for offering good, reliable, accurate information.
- There are some people who have not yet established their credentials on matters relating to Land Rover.
- There are some people who seem to be always online regardless of the time of day or night and who seem to have plenty of time to offer a comment on any subject.
- There are some people whose lives are so busy or who are expected to offer help to everyone who has a problem that their contributions are sometimes quite short simply because they have so many to respond to.
I can easily imagine a situation where I would appreciate a "x2" post from someone.
If I asked a question and got a response from a Type 2, I would then find it very reassuring to get a "x2" from a person who was both a Type 1 and Type 4.
I wouldn't expect anything else if all that was needed was confirmation from someone who was generally regarded as a very reliable source.

i agree, its better than quoting posts that are as long as and usually with photos! its more of a conformation that the 2nd poster agrees totally with what has been writen.

Dobbo, this isn't fight club. It's ok to agree with people some times you know.
Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch where the guy goes to the ministry to buy an argument. No he doesn't. Yes he does. That's not an argument that's a contradiction. No it's not..........................................
