Of course km/h to mph is easy - multiply by 0.621, but if you want to go back to the old 'real' units, you need furlongs per fortnight.
This is not much harder - simply multiply by 1669 (well 1669.248 if you want to be precise).
This tells us that 60km/h is almost exactly 100,000 f/fn or 100kf/fn
So just tell your mate the speed limit is 100k without specifying what units.
Now, gotta figure out how to convert l/100km to gills/league...
for the money I save on fuel I can afford mods to smoke most 8's :p
....and STILL get better fuel figures...:p:p:p
I thought the measure of fuel consumption favoured by a significant number of AULROlians was "kilometres traveled before I put some more fuel in to bring it up to somewhere between three quarters full and dribbling out on the ground with no consideration given to the odometer error that was there right from the start and was exacerbated by my fitting oversize tyres"
That seems to be the popular one here.
