Litres/100km to MPG

This is information probably all know however for those who are more familiar with MPG and have a computer display that reads litres/100 km if you divide the litres/100 km into 284.48 then you will have your MPG, i.e. 10.2 litres/100km............10.2 into 284.48 = 27.89 MPG

And if you type it in the Google search box it will compute the answer too.

Try it and enter 284.48/10.2 as the search or even better type in the search for 10.2L/100km in miles per uk gallon

I did. And then made a calculator to do it for you. The name may be misleading as it does fuel conversion as well as winch data calcs.

Put in Ks travelled and litres used and it converts it the KPL/LP100K and MPG for you.

I do litres divided by 4.54 to get gallons, then km X 0.621 to get miles then miles divided by gallons to get the MPG.
Why do I do this? Because at school we were tought to count, not be reliant on other peoples brains. think of your brain is a muscle, use it or loose it. How many times have you been short changed/ overcharged at the shops and not noticed it till you got home and read the docket.
