Rovercare,
I'd bet you're not the only guy here far more scared of the bill the receptionist hands you than anything the dentist can do.
Wallet extraction is by far the most painful

Well, yesterday, finally went to the dentist as a pointy bit of back molar was eating into the side of my mouth
The FIRST filling in my life!!, which was a biggun, has turned into an Xray, the bottom wisdom teeth are surgery jobs, the top 2 are through, but have nothing to bite against, so the dentist reckons "might aswell flick them out" and have to go back for another filling............the funny thing is........... the pain.............the upset tummy..................the man in my mouth, doesn;t bother me
..............................but the cost
Yea, I'm a tightass![]()

I have a wisdom tooth coming up sidways, so long as it's clean it won't get infected and it has been like that for 10+ years. So don't think that you have to do it just because the dentist says so.
Go to a dentist that drives a Land Rover and offer your service as a mechanic as payment for his work![]()
After braces, I think wisdom teeth pulling is probably the second most unneccisarily performed treatment.
My mum and dad both have straight teeth, as does my younger sister. All had wonky teeth as kids.
I also had wonky teeth as a kid, but I copped a mouthfull of braces. The result? My teeth are still wonky. Everyone elses straightened out with age, including my sister who was told that she "desperately" needed them. Fortunately economics intervened and now she has perfect teeth.

Nox before you wallet is extracted also.
Oooh, what did the vet end up doing? Simba at 13 was under last weeks and they reckon they do 13yo about once per day. then again another 4 years is a fair bit.

At least you have avoided RCT (Root Canal Therapy)...a delicate procedure that requires you to lie still for two hours with a rubber glove in your mouth whilst the contents of your wallet are removed via the larynx.
Why do Dentists drive Porsches and have a high rate of suicide?
