    Rare!

Spent Wednesday in Sydney drove down in the Pinzgauer to see a fellow Pinzgauer owner her has 2 6x6 Pinzgauers and Haflingers. So after years of wanting one i found myself in a dream surrounded by them!

I know the rules but we forgot the camera! and the camera on my phone no longer works .

But still was a great day first time i have seen the 6x6 model!

Had a bloke in the hobby shop where i work asking about Pinz and Haflinger models a month ago, he was shocked to find a staffer knowing what he was talking about! Pity we didn't have any models of them in stock though. This fellow had three Haflingers.
Do have some Landy kits though :-)

A Halfie drove through here recently, you don't see them very often these days. I've loved them since I was a kid in the seventies.

Thats prob the bloke i was with he has 3 haflingers and two 712 Pinzgauers .

Only thing having one is you have to allow a lot of time to get anywhere because when ever you stop to fill up or eat you find yourself surrounded by randoms with many questions the classic question is

    "does it float"

They are excellent off road machines! i wouldn't mind adding a 712 to the collection but that will have to be a one day thing. I was reading a book on the Pinz and it said the 4x4 has a climbing ability of 73 degrees, and the 6x6 has one of 59 degrees. But dues to the fact that finding enough traction to climb such angles they put both down as a safe 45 degrees.
