    Who do you insure with??

    I've just received my insurance renewal from NRMA.. JUST OVER $800 TO COVER MY $13,550 DEFENDER!! What is your insurance costs?

    Allianz and I pay something like $900 for the D3.

    Allianz - about $400 for the new Defender. This thread won't really give you much of an accurate idea of what you could expect because the garaging postcode makes a huuuuge difference. You are in Sydney, so that pretty much stuffs your premium no matter what suburb you're in.

    Don't be too sad - my girlfriend and I are at $1600 for our Suzuki Swift ($19k)...

    With an $1100 excess...



    We use the NRMA, it's actually the best we found after a long search...

    Make sure whoever you are with that they cover you off-road.
    I am with GIO and they paid up when I rolled the D2 on a property.

    QBE.
    Between the Green Slip and comp insurance, around $180/year cheaper than NRMA with all discounts and 65% No claim, etc.

    You really do have to shop around as Solmanic said, you can't really compare as state, postcode, etc all play a major part in the quote.

    australian 4wd insurance

    i have an 88 rangie with a 6.2 chev diesel and was having trouble finding anyone who would insure it.
    these blokes would and i was happy with the policy and price.
