Thanks Martyn - next time I'll read the time zone as well as the time. I thought that being an Australian Gov't site it would be in local time. Plus Google also uncovered some other Brits in Oz forum, where people in the UK were inquiring about the welfare of Brits in Vic, so I figured that it surely must have been earlier in the day.

UPDATE 2.05pm: AFTERSHOCKS continued to rumble near Melbourne this morning after an earthquake hitting 4.6 on the Richter Scale rocked Victoria last night.
Residents of Korumburra - the South Gippsland town closest to the quake's epicentre - felt as many as five minor aftershocks, with the largest at about 3am.
Rumbles continued into the morning with many residents feeling a jolt at about 10.15am. Geoscience Australia said two of the aftershocks hit 3.1 on the Richter Scale.
