    Lamborghini 4wd?!!

    Hey All

I was doing some research on Range Rovers which said the LSE was brought out to compete with the Lamborghini LM002!! So I looked it up and indeed Lamborghini did make a 4wd (I mean a real 4wd).

    Lamborghini LM002: Information from Answers.com

And you could option it up with a 7.2 litre V12!!! I wonder how many of them are still around. That would be something to tell someone...that you take your Lamborghini 4wding!!

There are a few around, you are looking 300k+ for a good one.

Still wanna take it off road?

    I would rather a G55 Merc.

(from DaimlerChrysler Press Release) Geneva, Mar 02, 2004 - It's now exactly 25 years since the Mercedes-Benz G-Class made its first public appearance. Since then, these models have made a name for themselves all over the world and have been sold to over 182,000 customers. The supercharged V8 G 55 AMG, the latest high point in the career of this one-of-a-kind classic, is now on display in Geneva. The eight-cylinder power plant of this new addition to the G-model family develops 350 kW/476 hp and peak torque of 700 Newton metres, giving this robust off-roader new dimensions in power and assurance. Offering 34 per cent more power and 32 per cent more torque than the predecessor naturally aspirated V8 model, the new G 55 AMG demonstrates once again that the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a vehicle with enormous potential.

A main market for LM002 was Saudi Arabia.

I used to see a few when I was there.

I believe that the Saudi army also had one/some for the border patrol with machine guns mounted.

I remember there was so much money around there then, that my then 12year old son came home one day and told me he had been driving a Countach. Turns out the ice skating rink manager had let him drive his around the block.
Now that is what I call trusting.

They were originally developed for the US military for the same tender the Humvee ended up winning.

They lost but decided to produce them in civilian guise.
