That's a bugger John. I bit stinky too- I bet. Will insurance cover that?
Arrived back home this afternoon, after quite a good trip overall.
However, not all is well at home! My freezer appears to have died. Tomorrow will be a major cleanup job with a load to the tip of about a month's food supplies. And unless I can find the problem
(one suggestion has been a wire chewed through by a mouse - we have a plague), it will be a new freezer.

Good you are home OK and the county stuck it out.
The freezer is bad news though![]()
Almost every time we go away the RCD trips out here and we lose the lot.
Hope you find the cause.... Mice are real bad here now..... So is the power

Thanks. My house was wired with no RCD on the circuits to the freezer and fridge. The usual reason for this sort of problem is a few days overcast and the batteries go flat - but this did not happen this time - both systems fully charged and both inverters running and no circuit breakers tripped. I have yet to plug in something to check power is getting to the freezer but there is no reason to doubt this - but freezer is no go. (freezer light has been burnt out for years)
