    Towing Question

Hi, everyone I am just about to buy a Jayco Outback Swan Camper Trailer.

The quoted ball weight on the specs sheet is 125kg.

I have a Disco TD5 Series II that has had springs and shocks upgraded and was wondering what you think about towing these types of trailers.

Also should I go for a normal hitch or a tregg/trigg hitch.

I currently tow a All Terrain Camper Trailer with a tregg hitch.

    Thanks

    Marc

    Hi DiscoKnight,
I foresee no problems at all.

It depends on where you take it, but I'd keep the Treg hitch.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter

I have a Jayco Hawk outback, and have no problems towing with the TD5. I also have the standard ball hitch and have not come across a need for a treg yet.

If your going to do more offroad (ie) High country, lots of errosion humps, then yes an off road hitch is needed, but if your not, keep the ball hitch, also 125kg is fine, the max for a D2 is 250kg.
