One of the courses we offer at work is in sound engineering and the geeks love to ask what software we have and what facilities we've got. Generally the answer is pretty much the state of the art stuff but what you really get out of the course is you will learn how to listen and interpret what you hear, all the rest is "reading the manual".

So what I'm saying is, maths, physics and chemistry, history, english will never go right out of style. With education, including the trades, you are really training your mind not your hands, learning processes not just facts.

I'm going to have to stare at that world clock non stop for a week and note whether the rates slow down when India and China go to sleep of a night time or not.
I reckon that they should have the majority of the population there in those two areas, so day and night should make a difference, shouldn't it?

    Post modern answer: "so what".

Benjamin Disraeli and quoted by Mark Twain: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

Like everything else exponential (eg money supply, rate of extraction of coal, oil etc) there will be a ceiling and maybe even a burst bubble.
