how to remove brake dust in rims

Most brake dust cleaners are highly alkaline but some are acidic.
Brickies acid will even d the job but a bit drastic.:o

warm soapy water and elbow grease. If you are going to use a proper wheel product make sure it is ph neutral. Or at least as close as possible.

Warm soapy water is great, but if you can get to hoon around in some soft sand, this will clean them up nicely.
Just like a sand blaster.

Be careful getting CT 18 on paint, heaps of caustic:oI found Koala Care to be much kinder to the paint:)

I note ChemTech's brochure says CT18 is pH Neutral. Doesn't that mean it is NOT caustic?

I haven't used it since it destroyed the paint on my truck in 12 months, but a panel beater mate says ALL truck washes damage paint, CT 18 amongst the worst.
