    I am so relieved everything worked out ok and that your mum & her friend were found okay.

    By the sounds of it, you and your mum & her friend did all the right things in that situation. Thanks for posting, I'm sure everyone can learn something from your experience.

    I am very happy for the good outcome. You handled the situation very good and with calm. I do not know how I will react in a situation like that. i think that the good temperature was a factor to waith till the morning.
    Now you know that you have to issue a "yellow card" to your parents for not having the radio and a handheld GPS

    OMG!!!!! That was just freakingly scary. More suspenseful than any book I have read, thank god they were okay.

    If that was my mother she would be as proud as punch and act like nothing really went wrong, in front of my sisters anyway.

    But my father would have been a complete wreck until she was found.
