An ultra marathon has been planned to raise funds for the McGrath foundation and further raise awareness about the "breast aware" program in rural areas.

A mate of mine, Glen "Mr Pink" Gorick, and two other runners, will be running from the top of Mt. Kosciusko, at 2228 metres above sea level, to Sylvania athletics track in southern Sydney, at just .5 metre above sea level.

Myself and a support crew will be with the runners, as we head to Sydney, hopefully collecting as much in the way of donations along the way, from schools, clubs etc. We'll all be in pink, and apparently Glen has gotten hold of an 8 berth Winnebago, so we won't be too hard to spot

The timetable is as follows. All departures will be (hopefully) 6am

23/4/09 top of Mt Koz to Jindabyne.
24/4/09 Jindi to Cooma via Berridale
25/4/09 Cooma to Michelago via Bredbo (taking in the dawn service)
26/4/09 Michelago to Parliament House. K Rudd has written to us and said he is unable to meet, but hopefully his representative might,
27/4/08 Canberra to Goulburn.
28/4/09 Goulburn to Berrima
29/4/09 Berrima to Mittagong
30/4/09 Mittagong to Campbelltown
1/5/09 C'town to Sutherland
2/5/09 Sutherland to Sylvania to rendezvouz at the athletics track for the start of the 24 hour Relay for Life.

If you spot us along the way, be sure to honk. I'll have the camera with me so I'll post up some "humorous" pics when we get back.
