    Weight Differences 6/4 cyl chassis

    hi everone
    would anyone know if ther is a
    weight differnts between 6 and 4 cyclender chassys on old series 109 landys?

    Yes. The six has the gearbox mounts further back, and i think the engine mounts are different as well, and there will be other detail differences.

    the weight of the chassis difference? I'd be surprised if there was more than a few hundered grams in it.

    There would not be any noticable weight difference between the 4 and the 6 cyl chassis the only difference is the location of the engine mounts and gearbox mounts, the major difference was in the firewall, as the 6 firewall projected into cabin further,otherwise everything was the same.

    I must read more carefully! I missed the word weight. And I agree with Phoenix - there will be no significant difference in weight. In fact, I would guess that differences between chassis just because of production tolerance (e.g. amount of weld) and changes in production techniques (e.g. change to pressed chassis rails in S3) would make more difference than four or six cylinder engine.
