    My Next Landrover

    2009 SVX 90

$60,000 plus cost getting it here,
and how to get it here, I have a very cashed up cousin who can keep it at his place for the required time period in his garage.
Got some phoning to do this week...

All I have to do is find a way of giving it a traditional Fender face lift.

mmm sorry does not work like that . You have to have lived with the car for 2 years not just owned it. My wife and i had to photocopy every page of our passports and send them of to Cambera to show that we were in the Uk with the car for two years .

Unless he is going to keep it in his garage for the next 15 years

As Ali said: I also had to copy every page of my passport to prove that I was with the car for the entire period, and also provide proof that the car was in use by me for a period of 12months, and that the car was taxed for the period (registered)

I thought the import rule of have to have owned it for two years blah blah blah only applied to vehicles that were freely available in Australia. As far as I know cars that are "specials", ie competion beasts, rare classics and other unique-eties can be imported if you show a strong enough case.

Nah all cars that you import and that you want to drive on the road . you can import an off road car or race track car with no ownership for two years thing. But these cars are never alowed to be driven on the road.

I'm sure there is a way you could bring it in....But I doubt it would be under the personal import banner and it would cost you A LOT OF MONEY!! just the tax alone when it touched the soil would be a killer.

Many prestige car garages bring in classics and sort after vehicles i believe so there must be away! But I have to agree with the other fellas its not going to happen this way
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
