    tyre issue

    just bought a 96 disco it come with 255/70/16 cooper mud tyres, went to move it and they are rubbing on the chasis l was wondering if anyone was running 245/70/16 as l have these on another vehicle that will be able to use the muddies on, l am running the orginal alloy rims. thanks

    Welcome aboard.
    245/70 are a popular use on D1s.
    You can adjust the front "lock stops" on the front steering to help stop the tyres rubbing the chassis.Look for bolts on the front swivel housings that strike on a plate on full lock.

    Would I have issues with clearence if I went to 245/70-16 on a D2?
    With something like BFG A/T, or any other A/T tyre for that matter.
    Lock to Lock to that is??

    I had this size on a Series 2 Disco....no issues at all. Original alloys with BFG A/T.

    I had this size on a Series 2 Disco 2001 TD5....no issues at all. Even lock to lock. Original alloys with BFG A/T.
