Doesnt work in filtering the methanol but i guess they know that. Not sure about the taste though,

The methanol is toxic once it gets in and decomposes due to biochemcial reactions cauing formaldehye. Remember the stuff you saw dead things in in hospitals and labs (great stuff if you ever want to make sure someones really dead and not coming back, store them in this stuff )
