    what colour is it?????

    this has made for a bit of good old camp fire talks,

    is a tennis ball yellow or green???

    I would say most definitely a form of yellow.....If it was green you wouldn't see it unless playing on an indoor or clay court.........

    Derek that certainly explains it well


    Although the Rules of Tennis only specify that a tennis ball must be white or yellow, the ITF Technical Centre monitors the colour of tennis balls using a spectrophotometer linked to a computer.

    This records the colour of each ball on the L*a*b* scale. The scale specifies colour three-dimensionally (an L* axis, an a* axis and a b* axis). These represent lightness, redness-greenness and yellowness-blueness respectively.

    Not that I play tennis ... hate the game, but from memory I think they are yellow??
