Must say, I rather agree. I only engage in physical activies I actually enjoy, & walking I'm afraid, isn't one of them ... :D however, always admire people who undertake such activities, especially after adversity. :)

Bettern any of that southern rubbish:p
Waaay back in the 1950s my Father was a young, single bloke in the Royal Navy and as such was corresponding with an unmet young girl who worked in the office of my Grandfather's employers. A dinner date was arranged for the next leave, and Dad suggested that she choose the venue because he had been at sea for two years. She chose the flashest, most expensive, hoitie-toitie joint in the entire southern half of England! :eek:It cost the Old Man more than he earned in a fortnight. :oDad had the last laugh though, while Miss High and Mighty ordered expensive champagne, the dear humble seafarer asked for a brown ale. :DShe was humiliated, and the establishment embarrassed as they had to dash to the pub up the road for the requested beverage.:(
Fortunately, the relationship failed to proceed past that night, or you would not be indulging in the pleasure of my company.
