All Ireland champion,Mick Barry from the Cork tea blending family was no less than eight times all Ireland champion between 1965 and 1975,once in 1955 throwing the 28 ounce steel ball over the Chetwynd Viaduct,Old Bandon Rd., Co Cork, the bowlers everest in human achievment as far as road bowler goes!
There are some great photo's of this feat in the bar of the Viaduct Inn,I once met the great man whilst drinking a pint of Guiness,giving him my autograph soon after.
Oh I ended up spending the night in The Defender following the misdemeanor earlier, still the free picnic blanket from joining the National Trust kept me warm and I could listern to Baker St by Gerry Raferty all night with out being nagged at :BigThumb:
