    So back to the Scammell then, the one the BCC were operating was running on pretty big wheels, 24" or 28".
    Were these the same units Wynns were using on heavy haulage late 50s/early60s?

    yes mate,did you see those off set cab ex army Pacifics they bought at auction £300 instead of £3000 for a new Scammell whos moto was 'built to a quality not a price'

    No mate I was a bit young to recognise them when I was there. I remember the matchbox model, in navy blue though; also saw black and white photos.
