OK fellas, I learnt this last night. Holden introduced the first Monaro in early 1968, as every young bloke of the day recalls. Speculation of the day suggested that the name was chosen to cash in on the Camaro name, but GMH explained that it was an Aboriginal word for 'higher plain'. Later it came to light that it also had another meaning that GM weren't so keen to publisize, any one care to take a stab in the dark?:D:D:o:angel:
