    Very quick bike 25, or so years ago. Check carefully for evidence of a hard life and accident damage. Any sports bike of that vintage would have been ridden and dropped a couple of times. My back can't handle the feotal riding position any more.

    Thanks Ian. Can't afford much - would dearly love a Triumph, but that ain't going to happen any time soon. Been looking for ages, can't believe how damn expensive bikes are now, even old ones!

    Have you seen a particular one, or always fancied one. Do you have a particular make/model/size you fancy. What are your needs, wants and budget? I've always liked Hondas and 4 pot Kwakas for longevity and reliability.
    VT Hondas, I like (so does Barnsey) but they are a cruiser. I used to have a Kwaka GT 750, every bit as good as any Honda I've owned; virtuallt a shaft drive GPZ.

    the 650 was the best looking,,



    the 1100 probably the best road bike of its time, the last of the big front wheel sports bikes I think,,
    I seem to remember they had spokes??
    maybe the one I remember was a one off,,
