OK folks, I've got to check the tide and fill the cistern before bed, so goodnight.

Cant sleep,dm td5's epic tour of Aus has set Mrs Grockle and me off to sort one out over here,we are goimg to do around Derbyshire tour!

Been out doing a veh check, toped up with fuel to just over 1/4 of a tank oil ok,learnt somthing new today you know where thoughs small bottles of mineral water are from? well (perdon the pun) Spar mini markets the shelves were full of it,a chap was trying to tell me as I enlightened Mrs G whilst crossing the car park the bottles I had where from Buxton Spar, you should have seen his face when I told him there wasn't a Spar in Buxton, since Waitrose had opened there!

Anyway back to our tour,I have made a sunshield for the windscreen from a teatray covered with tin foil, looks the part, and have blutaked a small bandaid tin to the dash next to the TomTom,reminded me of a Flying Doctors ground support veh.(I still have a soft spot for Lenore Smith)

I was just admiring the truck from the up stairs toilet window have to stand on tip toes to see it and have been caught out whilst doing two things at once by getting splash back off the lid!,anyway we leave at dawn,I know you're as excited a us and will keep you all updated via the laptop at all major road junctions.

Dear Grockle, as much as I admire your adventurous spirit, I implore you to postpone this expedition, and give it the thought and planning such a mammoth undertaking deserves. There are many threads on here worthy of scrutiny, and offering preparational advise. Have you got extra spare wheels, fuel, food and spare parts etc.? Is the vehicle properly prepared? Diff locks, bull & roll bars, suspension lifts, roof racks, recovery equiptment and winches are but some of the items with which it would be foolhardy to under take such a journey without.

Anyway, Thanks to Your Good Self and Tony, she is no longer in a constant state of travelling down hill! And the winch don't keep taking the top off of speed humps anymore.

    Hi Jackz.
You have removed the heavier skulls from the bullbar?
