Evening Grocky ... I swear I'm going to hatch an extremely evil plot to disable your avatar ... you do realise you're giving me nightmares don't you?

Been a somewhat eventful weekend, to which I won't go into too much detail. Suffice to say, had to drive the Goanna to Bathurst to visit a dear friend who suffered a stroke, think I made it in record time, 5 hours or thereabouts. By the time I got there, I nearly had to be admitted myself having suffered shocking exhaust fume intake. Geez that's a top bit of engineering genius I must say. Am surprised the squaddies didn't all end up carking it from carbon monoxide poisoning. Anyway, I digress as usual. You'll all be absolutely delighted to know that in keeping with this delightful, informative & useful thread, which of course I did on purpose ... yea right ... suffered enormous water leakage problems, so had to keep stopping and topping. Oh, & did I mention the severe wheel wobble? And the missing alternator bolt? And the constant stopping due to I think, fuel problems on one on the tanks, or maybe it's electrical. Stuffed if I know ...

Was thrilled to find the problem quite easily due to a lovely green colour emanating from the thermostat housing ... so a relatively easy fix to remove & replace.

Unfortunately, it's still on the hoist owing to the fact the drag link is totally screwed, as well as the steering damper, so have to order the parts before can rectify those little problems. Oh joy. Spent about an hour trying to find my Land Rover Parts Catalogue, but has gone into hiding, along with other rather unimportant things, like, oh, I don't know, my passport for example. Am famous for putting things in a safe place never to be seen again.

God that crab is so cool
