Have you ever noticed the odd configuration of some Yank semis, with the turntable mounted behind the rear axle and the trailer pin right at the front of the trailer, leaving a big gap between the cab and trailer. They would be awful to steer too, with next to no weight over the steer.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
