    Skulls blocking radiator air flow??

As some of you may be aware, I'm a bit of a collector of skulls, amongst other things. The trip to Bendethra yesterday saw the temp gauge frequently going slightly below the red ... would they make that much difference? (They're only little skulls). The water level was okay.

As I found another one yesterday, want to mount it, thinking I should move them somewhere else ... though where the hell else I can put them is another problem!

    Opinions?

    Thanks.

Hows the rest of the cooling system ?
Are you getting full flow through the radiator? (Water flow)
Is the thermostat opening (Operating correctly)
Are there any hoses weeping ?
How old is the water pump?

Yes to all. Thermostat was changed a couple of months back, new bottom hose (God what a bitch to put on!). No leaking. Had the radiator overhauled by a radiator mob, though quite a few years ago now. Bloody hell, where does time go? I replaced the water pump, thinking about it, probably about 5 years ago ... please tell me I don't have to do that again ...

Collecting sculls and mounting them on a car???? Strange girl
Try removing them and see if that makes any difference, it's amazing how much airflow can be cut down or redirected.

Given that it's not very warm at the moment I think you need to be looking at the health of the cooling system.

It used to be common practice years ago for guys to cover part of the radiator on Landys in winter to stop them running too cool. Usually a bit of ply stuck behind the grill , I'm talking around Sydney. (Mind you they may have been running with no thermostat)

Actually, being such a moody bitch, was thinking of painting it another colour ... any suggestions?

Would love a horse & camel skull ... if you come across any good skulls, save them for me. You never know, I may come & visit

My money would be on the radiator. Mine lookd fine but the mechanic ran a small screwdriver over the core and ther thing just ferll apart. Mine was doing the same thing, especailly on uphill grades.

I have some good rams skulls and know here there are plenty more. I will pick a few up in August when I go there after Louth races.

Tell me something I don't know!

Yes I'll do that thanks Ian. Frank suggested that may be the problem yesterday, but didn't think it would make such a difference. And where am I going to put them? Answer that one smarty pants!

Don't know if this will work ... if it does, do you know what the big skull on the right is?

    Must be a gender issue
The only sculls/pelvii/ or other bones I've collected damaged my car, mind you they were still encased in flesh and blood and behaving eratically.
