    but i was really referring to the place that told him its not possible to cut that shape.

    you would need an industrial laser cutter..... and it has to be treated before cutting. We can etch onto metal with ours but only with special tape.... (laser bonds the tape to the metal). You can etch very easily onto anodised aluminuim and also onto glass. Have done both very successfully. Cuts most things very well too..... but not metal.
    I'd go for the grinder too.

    Have you put in a sub somewhere else?

    Mate of mine did his Checker plate Door panel with a Jig Saw after he marked everything out and used a fine metal cutting blade , he did a really nice Job of it

    Actually ive got 2 BIG RED BANANAS from my old falcon with a 1920 watt amp.but it will take up so much room, if someone wants to buy a BIG RED BANANA let me know.

    I suppose if you cant think of anything just but a piece of check plate over it and cover it up.At least you can keep the old trim if you want to sell the car.

    Finally finished today,wasnt sure if i could put the surround on the rear door handle opener,but it worked great.
