    Which colour?

    Hi all
As most of you will know i've pretty much just finished building my disco1 rearbar
I painted the recovery points bright red but havn't realy been happy with this colour so i thought i'd grab your opinion
I know, i know they are only going to get covered in mud and scratched to buggery but anyway.

Here I am thinking that any one that needs to ask what color to paint something deserves to be told "hot pink", low and behold there it was on the list.
Years ago when I first started my signwriting business I signed my van in hot pink that covered about 30% of each side (it worked cause every one knew about the signie in the hot pink van).
    cheers

Do you plan on running in any comps? (even small local events to be considered) If so Red is probably the way to go. If not (or not in the foreseeable future) i say match the bar as i am not sure you should be bringing attention to them, considering they extend further then the bar. Are there regs on that?

Agreed, If it is to go on the road then blend the protrusions into the bar.

Black with the background will in part reduce the look. If however it is only for Comp or Off road then fill your boots. Looks good though.

Black is the go but if you are worried about people walking into them why not put some fluro tape around the edge to highlight them

    Thanks blaze
Don't worry the points are solidly welded, it's welded in both sides of the RHS plus welded strate to the bar mount that is bolted to the chassis with 4 12mm high tensile bolts

Nope, not planning on competing in comps, no real plans in local events either, but anything can happen
I spose my best bet would be to paint them black to blend in as others have said, still got to get it through rego
    Maybe even gray

    Thanks for your reply....TIM.

    Yellow.
It is standard for race car lugs and industrial lifting lugs.
