Planning a trip from Perth to see Folks in Wodonga.Wanted to travel the length of the Trans Australian railway line But you're not meant to travel past Haig.
So I was wondering if any one has done or knows what the track conditions are like from Haig down to Cocklebiddy The trip is planned for the first 2 weeks in July. Any info will be much appreciated
Cheers Ian

You can't travel all the way,PM BMKal and ask him about it.It's no less boring than the Nulaboring, either way you go it's a long trip east,I'm driving the RR back to sydney in october but are putting the family on the plane. Pat
I reckon the Nullarbor is interesting! The whole family loves the trip across when we get a chance.
You might want to take the road through Hyden to Norseman for the first part of the trip. That's an interesting drive too.

We did the trans railway in 2001 coming back from the western deserts. It had been raining and was uber muddy but only got bogged once. The track/s down from Haig are numerous! just keep heading south! I cant recall it being a difficult navigation task - finding Mullerganine Cave however (pre GPS days) that was interesting!
