I was at the local stealer yesterday looking at the "Puma", the sales guy was saying 2010 there are 10 new models of LR being brought into Aus but not the 90
    110 panelvan
    110 ute
    130 single cab

Yep, there's been ads in papers like 'The Land' or it's supplements.

Can't understand it when there aren't any dealers outside the city any more.
Were the hell is John the grazier going to take his new Defender ute for service ? (No JD, not you )

Maybe the dealer network is set to expand again ?
and it begs the question, if you used to be a dealer, would you want to have anything to do with the 8@4#@d$ now after being dumped on from a great height ?

Easy Rick, have a mobile workshop. There was alot of tojo's coming back to town on flatbeds because they can't be fixed without the right software so Toyota use workshop trucks to go around and re-boot the ECU's on site.At least LR's have limp mode. There is alot of mechanics around that will work on them but they don't have factory support. There's an article on the new models in the latest (July '09) edition of 4X4 Australia.

Actually, there's quite a few articles on Landrovers in that mag, including a comparison between D3, LC200 and Pajero diesels (the D3 wins), and an interesting article on "The Landrover Experience" and a write-up on the Gunbarrel Hwy 50th Anniversary run, featuring a few pics of old Series LR's at work.

Bit of a heartbreaking photo of a D1 in the "Parting Shot" on the last page though.
    Cheers .........

Yeah I picked up 4x4 australia for the comparo article as I'm thinking about updating my D1 for something I can go touring in. The D3 well and truly won out. The only real drawback is the load capacity, which applied to all vehicles tested. Now if I could get one with the load capacity of a deefer that would be nice.
