    Hi there all

Can I please inquire as to what the tyres are worth to purchase new.....

In the process of looking for new tyres for the 130, considering a number of options......

Call around as the prices vary substantially.

    Hi there

The reason I asked, is to get a rough idea/guide because out local dealer is 200km away.

Well I called - $385 each, be easier and cheaper to purchase 31 10r 15 and a set of rims than to buy 5 Pirellis or Michelins tyres.

    Thanks

    Wayne

Mine were a lot cheaper than that. About $1100 for four. However mine are smaller than what suits a Deefer.

I'd call around also. In the BFG MT Km2 thread there were HUGE variations in cost for the same tyre. I imported 285/75-16 and they cost me about $325-335 or similar to my work.

You could buy 31x10.5-15 and rims and that size is about as cheap as 4WD tyres come in, but you wont have a tyre that is anything remotely as good or nice as the Pirelli ATR.
    Cheers

Just replaced my Michellin XPC tyres for Pirelli. The Michellin were at the end of their life as they were no longer holding the car on the road and stopping was becoming not the sure experience you expect although there was life left in the tread. The Pirelli have been very quiet in comparison.

I notice today that Jax is advertising Bridgestone LT245/70R16 tyres for only $229 each including fitting, which is very cheap. From the pic they obviously aren't an extreme tyre, but more on than off road. Still, they are LT and for that price it would be affordable to wreck the odd one. Bridgestone in their ads claim these are fine for the Outback. They're made in Oz too. So, are they much good? Anyone experienced with them?
