Well, it's not looking good. Have tried Rovacraft, LVS, British Offroad, Classic Land Rover & FWD Motors ... all say they don't have one & they are no longer available.

The bloke at British Offroad says he's got a kit for a water pump ... but for the 4 cylinder (why am I not surprised!) He's only got one left, so I have to decide whether to get it ... it needs modifying though. Opinions???

    TIME FOR ENGINE SWAP!!!!

I vote Tdi Diesel variant!!!!! (i believe the 200Tdi has the same bolt pattern)

    or a 245/265 HEMI 6cyl

then there is always a 186/202...

you know that you want the 200Tdi anyway though

    LR 6cyl is rubbish anyway

Blimey, I was thining the other day that I wonder how I would go if mine died (unknown health).

That said, I have a suspicion I have a spare somewnere, but it's probably worse.

pain that they can't be acquired though, and kind of surprising considering other parts availability!

Not going to happen! If I wanted a diesel or V8 or whatever else ... I wouldn't have bought a 1978 ex Army SIII! The number of people who tell me to put another engine in .... bloody hell, I'd be rich by now! (the laughing icon isn't working!)

Yea, tell me about it. I'm like "you WHAT? you DON'T HAVE ONE? you CAN'T GET ONE?" "WHY THE HELL NOT" ...

Going to ring this mob in QLD & see about getting it rebuilt ...

Having spent most of the day trying to source a water pump ... good to see I have my priorities in check ...

Spoke to a mob in QLD who can rebuild the pump for $250.00 ... so think that'll be the way I'll go. 4 X4 Spares in Newcastle or wherever they are (Peter Haylock) can do it, but being a GS ARMY SIII, he can't do it for less than $300.00 because it has a viscous drive with a different nose cone.

So ... think I'll probably go the QLD lot.

Now, perhaps I'd better get some work done ...

    G'day Panda

The last part No that I have for the S3 6cyl is, Water Pump: GWP-313 and packing (seal) waterpump to head HYL-0444 all from the military RPS

OR try www.pablanchard.co.uk as they are the ex-MOD specialists in UK, you could possibly quote those Part No's takes 5-8 days ex UK

    cheers
