OK - No worries. I didn't realise that.
I'll send him a PM and send him off to RedBook.
I just got a PM from a person who posted a question on the price of his 130 (I posted an answer on his thread), asking where his thread has gone.
I tried to follow a link to the thread, but it now doesn't work: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130-defender-county/81371-whats-my-130-worth-new-post.html
Has this been removed for a reason, or is it just a glitch?
Thanks
David

I didn't realize that it was against forum policy. I did read up about it first and didn't see anything. I was reading other threads that mentioned pricing and figured that if I needed any information this would be the place to ask. I may not post alot, but I do browse. In the past I felt this forum to be very helpful and that is why it was the first place I went to. It is the best Land Rover site I have found on the net. Do you have a "classified/sales" posting? If not, why not? There are threads about buying, so why not about selling. We aren't dealers, just plain folk.

Not that I disagree with the "no what's it worth" threads in general chat etc, but what is the rationale behind this?
Do these types of threads degenerate into slanging matches, or is it a liability thing for people giving out prices....
Thanks
its also been done that others have come on here only to find out what prices they can get for things like on ebay......and don't actually contribute to the forum.
we can't have a rule for one and not the other.
The general rule of thumb is that there is a market place provided for you to advertise your goods for free unlike auction sites.......so if you want to know a price check on redbook or ebay or trading post and then place your ad.![]()
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
I posted a how much it's worth a while ago more to see what it maybe worth when and if I come to sell. Not because I wanted a sale. More so so I don't get ripped off when I do sell. And I would hope some people on here would offer good advice. Maybe a what's it worth when I come to sell it section?
