That's a great way to build customer loyalty.

I'd be trying to find another dealer if you can.

And what is the bet that unless they can find a way to get someone else to pay for it, then there wont be anything wrong, and you will cough up $120 towards their Christmas party...

That Surprises me as warrenty work is good money for dealerships.

I rember years ago we did a club evening at the local Land Rover dealership . A chap came up to them and ask if there was anything he could about his pealing 300 TDi dash. At which point the dealership said yeah they can replace it under warrnety even thought the car was 6 years old by this stage and he was the 3rd owner . At the end of the evening the word got round and the dealership had 26 disco dashes to do . Talking later to the service manager and dealer princible. They were both delighted with all the warrnety work they had got form the evening

I have a mate who works in the motor trade in the Uk and he has always said that Land Rover is one of the most sort after dealerships due to amount of warrenty work you get from them .

    .
    HAHAHAHAHAHA

    Who told you that rubbish.

Warranty work is not good money.

The labout rate is way below retail and often the times given to do jobs are not even close to how long it really takes. Then there is the time (money) involved in putting the claims in, then waiting for payment.

First I have ever heard of that with a new car warranty. Is this a dealer thing or a manufacturer thing.

mmm well land rover dealers in the Uk do alright out of them. But there again they do charge £120 an Hour labour rate on a Disco . Oh and surprise surprise the mechanic are on about £15 to £30 and hour if they are lucky

Anyway the way they are all moaning at the moment i thought they would love to be doing anything at the moment
