I think the daft people are his employers. They've given him an 'off-road' vehicle, equipped him with a snatch strap and YET FAILED TO TRAIN HIM.

Good on the guy for wanting to be helpful and retrieve the stuck car.

I agree, the thought was ok, save the council a few bucks in towage, And he probablywouldn't have been able to see the top of the bar to see it bend. But still a stupid thing to do

I can't help but think that some rangers were too dumb to be accepted into the Police Force, so they took what they think is the next best thing where you get to have a badge on your sleeve.

Seen people winch stuck 4bys by the top of the bar to.

If they supplied him with the gear then they should have tought him how to use it.

At least the local coppers have watched me when I have done it and shown interest in the gear and how it works.

This video surfaced on Perth 4x4 about 12 months ago, local council ranger and he was probably trained in off road use and recovery by the council, just because you been trained doesn't mean to say you remember any of it
